After a few suggestions from the word maker-upper, it's ended up being...communication. Ironic, yes.

It's a problem some people (me), have trouble with. But it's vital to our society that we can communicate well with each other. We have two major kinds of communication: communication between friends and strangers, and between...more than friends...

A. There are people who aren't good with people, and people who can be extremely good with people. The latter can be good, help people. Or they can be terrible, wanting more and more power.

B. This tends to be a little more difficult, and is ESSENTIAL. You have no communication, no relationship. Communicate well, you can make it work. Unfortunately, that's something I still have to work on.

But hey, if you put your mind to it, you can make anything work.

I surprised myself Saturday. All day I told myself, "you're going to hug her today." But I doubted myself. Luckily when the time came, I did it. And I'm so happy I did, I was able to do something she asked of me. Finally.

Counterpart : one or two parts that complement or correspond to each other.

Isn't that just deelightful, even with my random word thingamawhatsit the topic seems to fit right in...although I don't know what to say about it yet...

Counterpart...counterpart...counterpart...you know, it kind of sounds like it should be your opposite, not your match...just because of the "counter"part of the word...

Anywho...you don't really think about a/your counterpart when you're little, it's not something with a high priority; such as having fun, not understanding what others say, seeming retarded at times, screaming, and annoying your neighbors until it would be an honour for someone to run you over in the middle of the road. But as you get older, all ( ok not all, having fun, and seeming retarded are still pretty high on my list ) these things change...you become more sociable; maybe not a social butterfly, maybe more like a social antelope...your friends become more important, and then there's school to worry about. (<--- extremely long run-on sentence) Some people bury themselves in schoolwork, while others totally ignore it; and fail classes (Darcy), but I have digressed. It usually happens in high school/middle school (8-10), you meet someone and it's no big deal at first. You talk occasionally in class or at lunch, or wherever you see this person...and maybe something happens to them or you...or maybe you're like House and you just realize things for fun, but in that moment, you know...that A you dont really like them or B that you couldn't stand to see something happen to them, and you can't stand being away from them. If A, nothing happens friendship continues on. If B, you realize that: You would follow them to the ends of the earth and back again (twice). You love to see them smile, and you try to cheer them up when they're sad, you try and be there for them. They are always running through your mind, always your center of attention, you can't stop thinking about them; how beautiful and funny and smart and perfect they are. What makes them so perfect? You see through any flaws they might have, and all you can see in them is their potential to be something amazing. You can't believe you've met this terrific individual, that YOU of all people would be so lucky... And even if they don't know it, even if THEY don't understand, you do. Soon enough you figure out that they are all you need in life, that as long as you have them, everything will be okay. But you don't think they think what you think about them, and you have an awesome friendship going, that you don't want to take a chance on ruining...but you want to know if they feel the same way. You don't how what to do or how to say it, so you pretend it doesn't matter, you push it down and hide it. Not long after it starts to eat away at you, slowly worming its way into your heart, and it takes control. It seems like in a perfect world it should all work out, and you would be together forever...but the world isn't perfect, it's flawed, coming apart at the seams and nothing is what it seems. You hope and hope, but you'll never know 'cause you're not brave enough to ask...Eventually you end up going your separate ways and regret it for the rest of your life, thinking "what if..."

Love is a powerful thing. When one has love, one has peace, and as The Beatles once said, "Give peace a chance." Love however, can easily be confused with infatuation (momentary "loving" of an object or person). As shown in Romeo and Juliet, Romeo thinks he is in "love" with Rosaline, but it is proved to be a case of infatuation. He then sees Juliet, the most beautiful girl in the town/city, in his eyes. At first it appears to be another case of infatuation, but as the movie progresses...he begins to show signs of true love for her.

Advice: Don't get them confused.

Some people think they're too fat, some think they're too skinny. We all like to believe that if you eat right, you become strong, and "efficient". Truth is, food is only a fraction of your "diet". Food ends up being approx. 1/4 of your diet, with EXERCISE being the other 3/4. This truth hurts some people, while others know it and choose to ignore it. I.E. Just because you eat healthy every day; which I doubt, if you lay around and watch tv or play video games all day, you will GAIN weight. Meanwhile, let's say you go for a 2 km jog in the morning and afternoon everyday, but you don't always eat healthy. Weight LOSS will just happen.

What I'm trying to say, is stop counting calories whenever you eat, and get outside to burn them off instead.

Life Goals...

What do you want to be when you grow up? No one knows right away, but some people have a general idea. I for one, don't have much of an idea as I'm torn between woodworking, and the film industry...I've taken both courses every year for the last three, and I've enjoyed them both a lot. So for now, I'll focus on the present and MAYBE even getting a job...I'm thinking about either the fast food industry or the "convenience store" kind of thing; like Superstore. Currently, I'm leaning towards the store side of the decision, as I think it would be better and I would still be willing to eat McDonald's, or some other fast food place. Now, back to the future! As for the film industry, I've contemplated going to VFS after high school; maybe not right away, but pretty soon. So...ya.

Well now...

What to talk about? Well, first off, let me introduce myself. I am 16, and I have my "problems," but I get by. I swim, drum, and drive from time to time, having my L... :P. So anyways, that's a little about me. Let's get right into it, the topic today will be...Paranoid...and yes, I am using a random word generator so I will talk about whatever comes up.

Paranoia...is overrated. Nobody really believes most of the conspiracies, but those who do, suffer from paranoia. For example, aliens. Not many people believe that they're just going to come down and destroy us...but some do. Unfortunately. On a completely unrelated note, some people believe the NASA moon landing was faked; which it wasn't...as proven by Mythbusters. Paranoia can happen to anyone, but it takes it toll on people serving our country...soldiers. PTSD = Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is relatively common. In the last few years, the US has seen a 30% spike in the number of PTSD claims following recent wars. Luckily, Canada has a program for PTSD sufferers, including rehab, financial support and protection. Paranoia can be good, or it can be bad. Good = war. If you're at war, and you think you're invincible, you will die. If you're afraid, but willing, you will be more careful, and maybe even survive. Bad = everyday life. There's not very many things to worry about in everyday life, and some people don't understand it; but it can cause severe mental health problems including dementia. So if you think you're worrying too much, take a deep breath, think about it, and relax.
